MAFIX Alkafen PVC adhesive, 1000 ml

Professional fast-drying construction adhesive for PVC profiles (cold welding). Used in window production, for bonding additional profiles such as drainage, blind components, etc., in advertising for bonding letters and foam boards. Has very good thermal stability and UV resistance.

Instructions for use:

The surface must be cleaned of grease and dust. Apply adhesive one-sided in such an amount that it does not leak after joining the material. Materials after applying adhesive should be joined within max. 60 seconds, fix the connection. The connection achieves functional strength after 2-4 minutes, full curing after 24 hours. Leaked adhesive should be removed with a knife. The load-bearing capacity of the bonded connection is achieved after 16 hours, full curing depends on temperature and humidity of the environment and can last up to 8 weeks. The applied amount of adhesive should be such that no adhesive leaks from the bonded connection. After bonding additional profiles, they should not be exposed to high temperatures (above +25°C) or sunlight for a period of 1 week – this way bubble formation in the acrylate layer can be prevented.

Storage:

Store in original packaging at temperature from +15 to +25°C, out of reach of sunlight. In closed original packaging can be stored for 12 months. During the storage period, the viscosity of the adhesive increases.

For products used in this way, the manufacturer cannot provide a guarantee for the connection quality.

The open time and full curing of the connection can only be determined accurately by means of tests, because material type, temperature, applied amount, air and material humidity, adhesive layer thickness, pressure and other factors affect it very strongly.
