This material is characterized by high transparency to light, similar to glass, while plexi is resistant to the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation, as well as acids and salts. Because of this, plexi does not yellow and retains its transparency for a very long time. Plexi is a material that is very easy to work with, yet not easy to break (it has high tensile and compressive strength). However, it is limited by high temperatures, as plexi cannot be used in places where the temperature exceeds 80 degrees Celsius (while the material itself only begins to soften at temperatures above 115 degrees Celsius). Plexi is also considered an environmentally friendly material and is easy to recycle.
